Olumuyiwa J. Oshin
Founder/Chairman
Muyiwa is a thorough bred finance professional with sound industry knowledge and a remarkable depth of transaction experience. His investment banking experience spans over 26 years encompassing stockbroking, treasury operations, commercial banking, marketing, credit & accounts as well as the capital markets.
Before co-founding Unicorn Capital, Muyiwa was an Executive Director at Kedari Capital where he oversaw the Corporate Finance & Advisory business unit. He started his financial services career at Interstate Securities Limited where he cut his teeth in stockbroking and treasury operations. He furthered his career at First Atlantic Bank (later Finbank and now merged into FCMB) where he was a key member of the Investment Banking team that was instrumental in the execution of a lot of the privatisation advisory transactions of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE). He thereafter joined the founding team of the Investment Banking Unit of Magnum Trust Bank. Following the merger of Magnum Trust Bank into Sterling Bank Plc, He was deployed along with others to form Sterling Capital Limited as the investment banking arm of the Bank. At Sterling Capital, Muyiwa was an integral member of the Corporate Finance team that executed various M&A transactions and capital issues during the 2006/8 consolidation exercise in the Nigerian banking and insurance sectors.
He has also been involved in various PPP and infrastructure projects including power sector privatization, airport concessions, hospitality & real estate, and the establishment of industrial parks.
Muyiwa is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment UK (CISI), Institute of Directors, a Chartered Stockbroker and he has MBA and MPA degrees from Lagos State University, Ojo. He has attended several management courses both within and outside the country.
Adeboye Idowu
Co-founder/Director
Adeboye has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry from financial markets analysis and research, asset management and investment banking.
Adeboye honed his financial markets skills at FDHL under the mentorship of Bola Onadele (Koko) where he worked on various financial markets mandates with various banks across Nigeria and the Central Bank of Nigeria. He was part of the team that worked on the strategy and business plan to establish the FMDQ Securities Exchange. He left FDHL to become Head of Investment at Mutual Benefits Assurance where he managed AUM of about $50 million for the group. He later joined Kedari Capital Limited where he became the team lead of Corporate Finance & Advisory where he successfully executed mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity/debt capital raise and project finance transactions from Nigeria, Ghana and Sierra Leone with a cumulative value of over $500 million.
Adeboye co-founded Arche Energy Limited with Living Energy International a renewable energy company based in Denmark to develop a 100 MW solar farm in the northern region of Nigeria. He also co-founded Unicorn Capital Limited a financial Services firm, offering diverse financial solutions to its clients in all sectors of the economy where he is currently the Managing Director.
Adeboye is a graduate of the University of Lagos where he graduated top of his class winning the Femi Johnson Prize for the best graduating student. Adeboye is a qualified accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) having passed all the levels and also a level 3 Candidate of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program USA. Adeboye is currently enrolled at the prestigious London Business School Executive MBA program.
Femi Ladipo
Managing Director
Femi is a graduate of Business Administration from Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Liverpool. He is an associate member, Institute of Capital Market Registrar, Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria & a fellow (FIIM) of the Institute of Information Management (IIM), Africa.
Femi’s financial service industry experience spans over 20 years encompassing Stockbroking, Asset Management, Credit analysis and management, client relationship management & Equities Market Research. He started his working career as an Investment Analyst with Interstate Securities where he cut his teeth in stockbroking and investment management.
Thereafter, he had over 10 years of experience overseeing business development & strategy and Asset Management at SID Energy Oil &Gas, Portfolio Advisers Limited and Heritage Capital Market Limited. He was an investment associate at Unicorn Capital Limited, an independent investment banking firm from where he joined WCM Capital as head of business development. Femi is now back at Unicorn Capital Limited as Managing Director.
